19 Wing Comox will host a dinner for 300 people in one of the flight line hangars to celebrate the Centennial of Flight in Canada, Saturday, 5:30 pm to 1130 pm, 25 April 2009.
Present will be the Vintage Wings of Canada Hawk One, the 2009 Snowbird Team, the Centennial CF-18 Hornet Demo Team.
Event will take place in Hangar 7 with the Hawk One, Snowbird and Centennial Hornet aircraft as a back drop.
The evening is planned as follows (updates to follow):
- Guests arrive at 19 Wing Comox and check in at the Officers' Mess with their tickets
- Guests will be escorted to Hangar 7
- Guests will have a chance to be photographed in front of Hawk One
- Guests will then have a chance to mingle and view the silent auction items, purchase beer and wine tickets, as well as Snowbird Quilt raffle tickets.
- Videos will be playing on a big screen.
- A DJ will be playing music.
- An Master of Ceremonies will direct the evening
- Guests will then be seated and will start to proceed to the buffet for dinner.

- Prime Rib of Beef au jus and horseradish
- Veg Lasagna and Garlic Bread
- Baked Potatoes with the works
- Cauliflower with butter
- Green beans with almonds
- Assorted Cheescakes and tortes

- Cream and sugar

- Guest speakers will follow.
- Anouncement of door prizes, auction winners and raffle winners will take place throughout the evening.
This event is a fundraiser for the Comox Valley Air Force Museum Association and is open to the public 19 years of age and older.
